thoughts? bruce mau design.
aside: i saw him on the street yesterday near MEC. he was hauling one of those rolly suitcases behind him, and he kind of reminded me of hurley from lost. we shared a strange eye-contact moment, and then it was over, and he was gone.

i kinda actually like it i think. Though it might get old fast.
but yeah right now i am into it.
I like the colors and the design of the letters... but I feel that it's a bit "punchy" for what the AGO actually is, and I don't know if it's appropriate for an "institution", where the work is ever changing, and the "brand" of the building is not as important as what's inside of it. I guess I haven't seen the new building yet... but I still feel that the logo is a bit overstated and not very timely. I guess the counter argument to that would be if they did something timeless and plain, everyone would complain that it's boring. I dunno... interesting post though, got me thinking.
I like it a lot. I think it is a good move by the AGO, less institution like. If it doesn't last the test of time, just redesign it then, I think it's fresh and exciting.
I like the art about shitting letters
I ment part about shitting letters.
oh and I have learned that sticking a box behind any logo really makes it stand out.
Next logo I do. Black box is a pert of it.
i kinda like it too, its totally refreshing. but i do agree with lee it doesn't feel timeless.
i also think it will probably looks a lot better on a white background.
hopefully for the AGO, those aren't all pantones. i don't mind simplicity, but this does look dated, and a bit messy/rushed/sloppy. i would also say it is actually possible to create a logo that both stands the test of time and doesn't look boring or like something from the 1990s (the original bad colour clash style, pre-MIA). what will the b&w version look like?
i vote this logo off the island.
Damn that's not pretty, I have to agree with Anth, it looks rushed and sloppy. It just lacks, the old AGO ID was so much better. That's my 2 cents
