World Press Photo
I just came back from the World Press Photo Exhibition. As always, it was very moving - emotional, thought-provoking and sometimes graphic. These are the photos that don't make it into mainstream media.
It runs until October 22 at BCE place in Toronto. Check the website for other events to do with this show. The above photo is credited to Finbarr O'Reilly, Canada, Reuters.

Those are some pretty amazing shots. Seems like you gotta get yourself into some pretty crazy situations to get the good shots.
Here's another wicked photographer, which based on his shots I can't believe he's not dead unless he's a gang member himself... http://www.artcoup.com/movie.html be sure to check out "gangs" and "drugs".
i wanted to cry at that exhibit. what kind of a world do we live in? the decapitated head almost did me in.
Joe - that website is awesome.
I hope those gang members aren't around the corner from you.
