Imagine if graphic designers went on a worldwide strike, or even better... a resistance. We would "work to rule" and create only crappy looking, poorly produced, minimal effort designs for an entire year.
We could call it the Creative Resistance. We would only promote good design among non-profit or personal artistic projects.

Thoughts? Am I on to something?
actually, that crappy looking, poorly produced, minimal effort you're talking about has a name: "desktop publishing".
Desktop Publishing - is only if you are doing editorial. If you are doing any other kind of graphic design, the term is:
"graphics"
So, desktop publishing + graphics = Desktop Graphublics or grap pub for short.
So - anyone who does "graphics" or "desktop publishing" is now called a:
graphublic designer
